# juniamaroc-beamer — JUNIA Maroc presentations

Version: **1.0.0 2026-10-29**.
Author and maintainer: Hatim Naqos <hatim.naqos@ecole-junia.ma>.

A Beamer-based presentation class for JUNIA Maroc teaching, projects and academic presentations. Includes the official palette and J artwork, compact headings, document/section navigation and a coloured footer.

## Quick start

Extract the archive and keep the class and assets directory beside your document. Open `juniamaroc-beamer-starter.tex` and compile twice with pdfLaTeX, XeLaTeX or LuaLaTeX:

```latex
\documentclass{juniamaroc-beamer}
\title{My presentation}
\author{Student name}
\date{\today}
\begin{document}
\maketitle
\section{Introduction}
\begin{frame}{Welcome}
My content.
\end{frame}
\end{document}
```

No font files are included. TeX Gyre Heros is the default. With the option `brandfonts`, XeLaTeX and LuaLaTeX use Afacad Flux and Inter Tight only if both system font families are installed; otherwise TeX Gyre Heros is selected automatically. pdfLaTeX always uses the fallback. Optional download instructions are in FONTS.md.

## Documentation and options

- `juniamaroc-beamer-demo.pdf` and source: French slide tutorial.
- `juniamaroc-beamer-starter.tex`: student starting point.
- `juniamaroc-beamer-doc.pdf` and source: English reference.
- `GUIDE-FR.md`: French installation instructions.

Defaults: French, 16:9, 10 pt, automatic section dividers and progress indicator. Options: `english`, `french`, `standardfonts`, `brandfonts`, `nologo`, `noprogress`, `nosectionpages`; Beamer options such as `handout` and `aspectratio=43` are passed through.
Commands include `\maketitle`, `\juniasectionpage`, `\juniaquote`, `\juniaclosing` and `\juniasetup`. Listing styles: `junia`, `junia-python`, `junia-latex`.

Requirements: LaTeX 2020 or newer, Beamer, iftex, babel French/English, graphicx, TikZ/PGF, booktabs, listings, TeX Gyre Heros, and fontspec for Unicode engines. The illustration source uses pgfplots. The legacy latex/DVI workflow is not supported with the supplied PNG/PDF assets.

Run `python build.py` to rebuild PDFs, or select `--engine pdflatex` or `--engine lualatex`. Python is not required for normal presentation compilation.

For a personal TEXMF installation place the class and four PNG logos under `tex/latex/juniamaroc-beamer/`, and documentation/examples under `doc/latex/juniamaroc-beamer/`. Refresh the filename database when required.

## Licenses and status

Original code, documentation and examples: LPPL 1.3c or later, maintained by Hatim Naqos. Institutional PNG artwork: separate redistribution permission detailed in LICENSE.md. No font binaries or sources are distributed.

This revision addresses CTAN review of the initial, unaccepted JuniaMaB submission. The public class name is now `juniamaroc-beamer`; replace `\documentclass{JuniaMaB}` in older documents. JuniaMaB may be used informally as a short name. No CTAN acceptance is claimed. A report class is a separate future project.
